Free Post- Alabama

This weekend, I went to Birmingham, Alabama for the LSU game. I left Baton Rouge at around 8:30 AM on Friday morning. I had packed up all my red clothing (I'm a Bama fan if you did not know...) and was so excited to go. After the 5 and a half hour drive, we had finally reached Birmingham. I was totally in my element as everyone was wearing red Alabama clothes, which I do not see a lot in Louisiana. That night, we went to my favorite restaurant in the world, Chuy's. It is a Mexican restaurant that is just amazing. We finished our dinner and headed back to the hotel to get some rest for the next day.

When I woke up Saturday morning, I was so excited, but I had to wait until 7 to watch my team play. In the morning and some of the afternoon, all we did was shop to kill time. After, we loaded up in our car, with me wearing my red Southern Tide sweatshirt with jeans, my mom wearing black (she says she is neutral, but I know she goes for Alabama, her alma mater.), and my dad wearing purple and gold. When we drove 45 minutes to Tuscaloosa, I was so ready for the game. We walked around and tailgated for about 2 hours. Then, it was time for the game to start. We headed to our seats and I could easily spot my two favorite Alabama players (AJ McCarron and Cooper Bateman). I had a good feeling that Bama was going to win. The game was very stressful for me until the 4th quarter. As Alabama was pulling away with a bigger lead, the stadium was on fire. From the visitors section, I could see the student section erupting. There were chants of "We will, we will rock you" and of course the singing of "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Dixieland Delight". When the game ended, everyone went nuts singing Rammer Jammer. It was crazy. Overall, I am so glad I went to see Alabama win and experience Bryant Denny Stadium.
